Discovering a Brand with a Mission

Sitting at a desk in my temporary residence for the next few hours, I ponder what is my purpose in life. Being on the move daily, constantly switching hotels, visiting different cities, countries, and continents, I often wonder how can I help to change the world for the better and assist those who are need.

Touring with Black Violin has given me the opportunity to spread positive energy around the world, and it has also allowed me to have a positive influence on a younger generation of beautiful people that will leave their mark on this world long after I am gone. Most importantly, traveling around the world has allowed me to encounter some incredible individuals and organizations, some of which have the same dreams and aspirations that I do.

Enter AFR Clothing

A small clothing company, with goals the size of the beautiful continent of Africa. Their slogan is: “Educating Africa One Shirt At A Time.” Its meaning? By buying one shirt from AFR Clothing, I have the power to help send a child in need to school for an entire year.

Every purchase goes towards educating children

I have the ability to send a child to school that could potentially be the future president or prime minister of their respective country. This power made me want to be apart of the AFR team and help change the lives of young people around the world. Being able to help educate a child in need is more important than producing a hit record or winning a Grammy in my opinion.

For this reason, I wear my AFR shirt like I wear my skin. You rarely see me not wearing an AFR shirt. Whether I’m performing at the Super Bowl tailgate party in front of thousands of people, or performing in Cape Town, South Africa in front of hundreds of thousands of people, I wear my AFR shirt to help spread the message of unity and love. Love one another, love our children, and love our future.
